Senior Resource Services is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors, staff, and a team of volunteers that work together to serve the needs of seniors in Weld County.
Our Board of Directors
Joyce A. Scott, PhD
Janet Bedingfield began as Assistant Executive Director in September, 2015, becoming the Executive Director in September of 2016. Janet’s career was spent as a primary classroom teacher and State Farm Supervisor before making the move to the non-profit arena. Her volunteerism has included school booster boards, Trinity Episcopal Church Vestry/Governing Board, Relay for Life Ceremonies Chair, Cattle Barrons’ Ball Silent Auction Chair, Team Fisher Co-Chair, Greeley Independence Stampede, and Guadalupe Shelter Non-Event Sponsor Committee. Her passion for SRS’ mission stems from the belief that our aging population is not highly visible and rarely asks for help, resulting in an honorable, deserving, yet vulnerable population being underserved.
Becky worked for Aims for 22 years and came out of retirement to help Senior Resource Services of Weld County for the past six years. She and her husband Michael enjoy spending time with her children and grandchildren as well as traveling around the world including yearly visits to South Padre Island and recently, Australia & Mexico. She also enjoys cooking, having lunch with her mother and exercising.
Shelby was born and raised in Greeley. She has been a stay at home mom to her daughter for the past seven years, and spends her free time with her daughter and husband going to movies, building with Legos, and reading. Shelby’s passion for senior care comes from spending time with and providing rides and care for her grandparents.
Born and raised in Greeley, Jenni is married and has two children. Hayden, who is 7, enjoys all things sports, and Emmi, 3, is full of spunk. When Jenni has a free moment beyond staying busy with her children’s activities she works her photography business, primarily on week-ends. Jenni enjoys speaking with seniors on the phone in her work at Senior Resource Services of Weld County because it reminds her of her late grandma, who she was very close to.
Prior to joining VISTA, Debra served as the Executive Director of Irvine Community Drug Prevention (ICDP) for 22 years. She is also the co-founder and director of The Africa Project an all-volunteer nonprofit that supports programs and services in Nkandla, South Africa. In March 2017, Debra and her husband Eric returned to the United States from South Africa where they have worked for more than 12 years. Debra has a BA in Sociology and will complete her Masters in Public Health (MPH) in February, 2018. She is married to Eric, and together they have five adult children and two grandchildren.
SRS Van Driver
After retiring from the U.S. Government, followed by several years of employment at North Colorado Medical Center, Donna continued working part time in various positions. In January of 2017, she discovered SRS and started driving the van as a substitute driver. Donna is married, and together the couple have 7 grown children. After marrying in 2000, the newlywed moved to Evans and they just love the area! Donna enjoys quilting, which she hopes to get back to in the near future. She and her husband also look forward to taking some day trips this summer.
SRS Van Driver
Donna started volunteering for SRS in 2014. A month later, she joined the SRS staff as a van driver. Donna also serves as a First Transit bus driver in Longmont. Donna was born in Colorado, has 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren, and 1.5 great-grandchildren (one is due in August). Donna just loves driving and being with people. She says that the seniors are especially fun because they have so much knowledge and information, which they are glad to share.
